Episode 31

Go Before You're Ready with Katrina Lopes

What would you sacrifice for a shot at your dreams? In this episode, I connected with Katrina Lopez, a music manager from Toronto whose journey from Halifax to the heart of the music industry is nothing short of inspiring. Katrina shares her bold transition from a stable career in international development to the unpredictable world of music management, all fueled by her passion for immediate, tangible impact. Her story is a testament to the power of taking risks and honoring personal growth, showcasing the resilience and confidence she’s built over fourteen years in the industry.

Katrina gets personal and shares her experience with MMA and how it has taught her valuable life lessons. She emphasizes the importance of going before you're ready and not being afraid to do the scary thing. She also discusses the parallels between MMA and life, highlighting the need to overcome challenges and not let fear hold you back. Katrina encourages listeners to find their own outlets and activities that keep them young and teach them about life. She also talks about the opportunities that can arise from unexpected places and the importance of being open to possibilities.
